Kadhdhoo is the island of Domestic Airport in the administrative district of Haddhunmathi Atoll or Laamu Atoll. The administrative capital this district is located in Funadhoo. It is mostly rimmed by barrier reefs, the broadest of which are topped by islands. There are many islands along its eastern and southern boundaries. Laamu Atoll forms the southern limit of Central Maldives. Beyond the Huvadhu Kandu, the broadest channel between atolls in the Maldives, lie the southern atolls.

Black Turtle, Meemu Atoll, Muli - (Melanochelys trijuga thermalis) is Environmental Protected under the law. This island living tortoise is commonly known as Kanzu Kahabu in Dhivehi, which lives in Muli island. The one of three islands where tortoise lives in Maldives.
Maandhoo Fisheries Complex, Laamu Atoll, Maandhoo - Maandhoo Fisheries complex is a state of the art tuna processing plant of Horizon Fisheries Pvt Ltd with products such as Canned tuna, Tuna Pouches, Cooked and Fresh Loins, Fish Meal and the Japanese delicacy 'Katusuobushi' widely exported to the international markets.
Gan Island. Laamu Atoll - Gan, close by to Kadhoo is the largest island in the whole country. Ancient ruins, only partly uncovered, hint at the importance the island once had. It seems to have been a significant seat of power and a major buddhist center, in the years before Islam came to the country.
Bodu Fengandu, Laamu Atoll - 'Abyss' in the middle of Kadhoo island itself is a mysterious black lake, thought by locals to be a bottomless pit.
