Engineering Services
Engineering and Maintenance Services provide a substantial contribution through provision of seamless, distinctive services to IASL and to a lesser extent to third party aircraft operating into Male' International Airport. The Department assists IASL strengthening its ability to respond rapidly and effectively to changing customer needs whilst maintaining fiscal integrity.
The services are rendered with a high degree of workmanship in the most efficient, effective and professional manner by a well trained, skilled workforce which encompass all primary facets of aircraft maintenance.

Facility
Engineering and Maintenance facility is located in Male' International Airport. The hangar and its working environment measuring 59m by 33m are protected from weather by use of adjustable sliding doors. Lighting is provided by high voltage mercury bulbs. The hangar is lightning protected and is geared to meet the maintenance requirement of IASL aircraft fleet.
Maintenance
This subdivision supports compliance with minor and major maintenance checks falling due on IASL aircraft fleet from time to time. A highly motivated team of professionals dedicate themselves to comply with the maintenance requirements of IASL aircraft fleet comprising of:
- Two De Havilland Dash8-202 aircraft
- Two De Havilland Dash8-315 aircraft
- One Do228-212 aircraft
Line maintenance is responsible for the ramp engineering of IASL fleet and third party aircraft at Male' International Airport. Line Maintenance personnel handle over 50 movements each week. It is also tasked to undertake rectification of line defects reported by the operating crew from time to time.
IASL Line Maintenance today provides technical assistance to several third party Airlines operating into Male' International Airport.
Storage facilities for storage of aircraft parts are provided on chargeable basis at competitive rates to airlines requiring such services.

Logistics
Logistics provides spares and material support required for maintenance of IASL aircraft fleet. Housed inside the hangar, it consists of a Bonded Store, a Quarantine Store, a Tools Store plus an administrative area and a Flammable Store located outside the hangar. A computerized Inventory Management System which forms the heart of the division provides control and monitoring features and enables maintaining the highest standards of airworthiness under the most stringent rules. All aircraft parts and material are procured from OEMs, vendors and other industry sources.
A fairly extensive inventory of rotables, expendables and consumables support maintenance and ensures continued airworthiness of IASL aircraft fleet. Additionally, this division provides on-demand supply of spares and material required for supporting IASL customers aircraft.
