Kolhumadulu Atoll, letter code Thaa is located in the south west of the country. The atoll is made up of 67 islands of which 13 are inhabited with a population of over 11,000 people. A domestic airport in Thimarafushi located in the south of the atoll was opened on September 3, 2013. This is the newest addition to the Maldivian route map further 'connecting the dots' between the atolls and the country.?
