Airline Division of Island Aviation Rebranded as Maldivian
The airline division of Island Aviation Services Ltd has been rebranded as Maldivian. The ceremony took place at Dharubaaruge lastnight officiated by the president.
The management of IAS informed that the reason for rebranding the airline division was to establish a brand that reflected the culture and people of the country the airline belonged to especially while operating outside the waters of the Maldives and with the aim of expanding the regional operations to other neighbouring countries. Therefore, the name 'Maldivian' was very fitting for its simplicity and effectiveness in giving immediate recognition as the country's airline and reflecting the nations true values.
Additionally, during the ceremony the new livery of the airline was also unveiled - a dolphin surrounded by different shades of blue, which was explained by the management as chosen because dolphin reflected the vision of the airline to be 'the friendliest airline with unparalleled excellence' and the hues of blue were the beautiful shades of blue seen while flying over the Maldivian waters.
It is expected that Maldivian, the newly rebranded airline of IAS will shortly be expanding their route to another regional destination in the near future.
