Robinson Club Maldives on Funamaudua Island in Gaafu Alifu Atoll opened for operations on 19th December 2009 and the very first guests to the resort travelled on Maldivian Q2 500 at 1000hrs on the same day. The property consists of 100 rooms is the very first property of Robinson Club Chain in the Maldives. The very first guests (5 pax) arrived on Edelweiss and an additional 15 passengers arrived on Berlin Air later in the day. The guests were also able to enjoy a small rest before their domestic flight to KDM at the temporary Moonima Lounge which was officially opened on 18th December 2009.
